news, tips, hints and help visit our Website at

System Requirements
This product is designed specifically for color inkjet
printers. It will not perform properly on laser or any
other type of printers.
Windows 95:
66 MHz 486 or faster,
16 MB RAM, 256-color Super VGA monitor, 4X CD-ROM drive
or faster, Mouse
Macintosh:
68040 or Power PC, System 7.0
or higher, 13" monitor @ 256 colors* or better, 16 MB RAM,
4X CD-ROM drive or faster, Mouse
Windows 95
1. AutoPlay
If you do not have the Windows 95 AutoPlay feature for
CDroms enabled you may start your HIJK software in one of
two ways. Open "My Computer", open the icon representing
your CD drive then double click the HIJK icon to start your
application. Or go to the "Task Bar" then "Run" then type
in the path name of the executable (*.exe). It should look
something like this, D:\Awards.exe, if your CD drive is
drive D and you have the Certificates & Awards CD-ROM in
your drive.
2. Operating System
HIJK software runs onWindows 95 and/or Macintosh OS computers
only, Windows NT and Windows 3.x operating systems are not
supported.
3. Exit
Some portions of our software do not exhibit the OPTIONS menu
and so there is no EXIT feature available. User's may exit
the application by pressing the keys Alt+f4 or esc or by
advancing in the program until the OPTIONS menu becomes
available then select SHOWOPTIONS/EXIT.
4. Task Bar
In some applications the task bar will indicate that two
copies of the application are running. In fact it is just
one copy and will not effect the performance of your software.
5. Business Calendar Kit - Notes on horizontal calendars
On the screen where the user selects either a horizontal or
vertical layout the horizontal calendar shows a "Notes" area.
There is not a notes area for the horizontal calendars, only
the vertical calendars.
6. HP 500c inkjet
The HP 500c inkjet printer is currently not supported in
our software. For the latest information please visit our
Website or contact technical support.
7. Crash when CD is no longer in the drive
Your HIJK software runs entirely from the CD-ROM. If you
remove the CD from the drive before exiting the application
a system error may occur causing your computer to crash.
Always leave the CD in the drive while the application is
running.
8. Monitor settings
Your HIJK software is designed to operate with monitors set
at 256 colors or higher. If you experience problems when
your monitor is set to high color (16 bit) or true color
(32 bit) then try changing the setting to 256 color (8 bit).
Macintosh
1. Monitor set to 256 colors*
Minimal requirements call for a "13 inch monitor @ 256 colors",
however the screen images appear much better on a monitor set
higher. Set your monitor to thousands or millions of colors
for best results.
2. Saving or Opening a file
When you save (or Save As...) a file you are saving a
"Start Up" file, use these to save what you want to start
up with when you launch the application next time. Note that
you must double click on the saved files icon to launch the
application and view what you have saved, choosing File/Open...
from the application will not work for these files.
3. Selecting a Web Browser
In preferences you may select a Web browser such as Netscape
or Internet Explorer. This dialogue box does not exclude
other applications so be sure that you are selecting an
internet browser.
4. Disappearing cursor
In Party in a Printer! if you select a new art style after
entering a custom message in the small card of another style
you will not see a blinking cursor in the new blank card.
You may still enter your message by typing or go to one of
the standard greetings then back custom message to regain the
blinking cursor.
5. Apple StyleWriter 1200
The Apple StyleWriter 1200 printer is currently not supported
in our software. For the latest information please visit our
Website or contact technical support.
